The view from the top

We are very fond of Lord Hill, namesake of our forthcoming development in SY2.

To celebrate his 250th birthday on 11th August, we gave away four tickets to climb Lord Hill’s Column – a unique, local experience.  Lucky winner Dave Pugh sent us these great photos!

 

 

Lord Hill’s column is 40.7 metres tall or 133ft, with a cantilevered, spiral staircase of 172 steps. 

The uninterrupted views from the top platform are fantastic. 

Open for only a few days each year, this is a popular local attraction.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Climbers must be fit enough to ascend – and descend! – 172 steps within 29 minutes.
