Office Administrator
SY Homes is seeking a capable and confident Office Administrator for our new headquarters in Shrewsbury.
You’ll be the central point of contact for our growing team of construction site managers, project leaders, sales / marketing staff, and finance team. Based in our modern offices, you will create a welcoming environment for visitors, clients and customers.
This is a hands-on role for an organised administrator with an understanding of office finance. Must thrive on structure, have experience in a similar role, and fit into our ambitious and award-winning, family-run business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of our modern office, maintaining a tidy, well-organised, and welcoming workspace
- Manage incoming calls and emails, greeting clients, suppliers, and site visitors professionally
- Enter and update project data in our CRM system
- Use Xero to file invoices, reconcile records, and support financial admin tasks
- Create and issue purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate with internal departments to support team needs — including Sales & Marketing, Customer services & After care, Site Managers, and Directors
- Take initiative in developing systems and processes to keep the office running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar office administration role
- Professional communicator — both written and verbal — with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems
- Proficient with Xero (or similar accounting software).
- Strong organisational skills and a self-motivated approach
- Reliable, trustworthy, and happy to take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities
Full-time or part-time
- For this new role, full-time or part-time options will be considered for the right candidate. We are happy to discuss flexible working patterns to suit personal commitments. For example, school-hours friendly.
- Salary will be pro rata.
